Moisture

Moisture resistance is extremely important for an IR Sightglass or window, especially with polymer type optics that can degrade under ultraviolet light. Standard IR transmitting crystals can also degrade with moisture making them unsuitable for outdoor, marine and high humidity use.

The C-Range Hawk IR Sightglasses are manufactured using the CLIRVU™ optic material, which is arc-blast resistant and unaffected by moisture.

Only CLIRVU™ optic materials can provide the longevity and strength required in todays industrial setting. The Hawk IR C-Range optic material has been tested by the third party certification body, TUV for resistant to both vibration and humidity allowing use within constantly vibrating and moisture rich atmospheres, such as Marine vessels and Tropical environments.

The Hawk IR C-Range Sightglass CLIRVU™ optic holds a lifetime warranty against degradation due to moisture.
